Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. In line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) we have developed a Privacy Notice that covers why we collect and use your information. This privacy notice ensures that your personal data will be processed fairly and lawfully and in a transparent manner.

Please take a moment to familiarise yourself with our privacy practices.

1. Why we collect and process the data collected

Hope Church will be the Data Controller for the personal data you provide through the email info@cadoxton.org.uk. The data will be used to identify you and provide you with the most appropriate advice and support.

2. Who will have access to your data

The collected information will be accessible by a small number of church administrators including the Minister of the church. If you contact us via info@cadoxton.org.uk enquiring about weddings, baptisms or christenings, the personal details contained in your email will be forwarded to the Minister at vogsuper@gmail.com.

Under data protection legislation, we have a legal duty to protect any information we collect from you.

We do not pass on your details to any third party outside of the church and our administrators will not use your details in any way other than to respond to your enquiries.

3. How long are your details kept

Once contact has been made through info@cadoxton.org.uk, your details will only be retained on our systems for up to 1 year. If your enquiry relates to a wedding, baptism or christening, your personal details will be registered on a legal file and the church will ask if you are happy for us to keep your details on a register to periodically alert you about church activities or events.

4. Your rights

Under the data protection legislation, you have the right to:

  • access the personal data Hope Church ( or Cadoxton Methodist Church) holds on you;
  • require us to rectify inaccuracies in that data;
  • (in certain circumstances) object to or restrict processing;
  • (in certain circumstances) your data to be ‘erased’;
  • lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) who is our independent regulator for data protection.

5. Changes to this policy

Hope Church may make changes to this privacy policy at any time. Changes will be posted here and are effective immediately. When changes occur to this policy, if we are still holding your personal data, we will contact you on the email address we have recorded in your account to enable you to review the new version.
